Previous Donation Impact
Women & Children’s Shelter Barrie
Following the previous meeting, Guys That Give donated $10,000 to the Women & Children’s Shelter Barrie. The organization used the contribution to enhance safety and security at two new transitional homes for women and children escaping abuse and human trafficking.
These homes are expected to help free up 28 additional emergency shelter beds, creating more capacity for women and children who need immediate support.
Creating Safer Transitional Homes
The Guys That Give donation helped fund critical safety measures including:
- Security cameras
- Motion-sensor lighting
- Emergency communication systems
These systems are essential in helping protect vulnerable women and children from being located or drawn back into dangerous situations by their abusers.
Meeting an Urgent Community Need
In 2025 alone, nearly 650 women and children seeking to escape violence could not be accommodated because of limited shelter space.
By helping make these transitional homes safe and secure, Guys That Give is directly supporting families as they rebuild their lives, remain free from violence and create brighter futures for their children.
Real Community Impact
The Women & Children’s Shelter Barrie shared its sincere gratitude for the contribution and emphasized that the support of Guys That Give is making a meaningful difference in protecting women and children in the community.
Why This Matters
Helping women and children escape violence, rebuild their lives and move toward safer futures.
Thank You
Thank you to The Queens for the amazing food and hospitality, and to everyone who came out to support Guys That Give and continue giving back to our community.
